The Barnum desk is all well influence by Tod Browning’s movie “Freaks”; Barnum is the name of the circus employing all those monsters. Like the atypical characters of that movie, the desk is not symmetrical, is different, its drawers are not at their usual place, viewed from below, it doesn’t seem finish correctly; yet that is what makes it unique, what brings all of its charm. Outer beauty is not necessarily equal to inner beauty.
